Super Thin Wall Stainless Steel Tube

Thin wall stainless steel tube is designed in a very super thin wall, the wall thickness ratio to outside diameter is not more than 6%. It is made of austenitic stainless steel, which has good corrosion resistance, strength, toughness, aesthetics and other characteristics., and is widely used in building water supply, drinking water, gas, fire and other projects.

Thin-walled stainless steel tubes commonly used material grades are 304304L, 316316L, and so on, thin wall stainless steel tubing is mainly composed of alloying elements, including chromium, nickel and molybdenum, which give it excellent corrosion resistance, high-temperature resistance and strength.

Stainless steel thin wall tubes can be produced in round and square shapes, the outside diameter, wall thickness and length vary according to need, we supply precise welded and seamless steel tubes, and welded tubing can be finished in a super thin wall of 0.1 mm.

The outer diameter of thin-walled tubes usually ranges from 1 mm to 50 mm, while the wall thickness ranges from 0.1 mm to 3 mm. The larger the outer diameter, the greater the pressure; the thinner the wall thickness, the lighter the weight of the tube, suitable for occasions with high weight requirements; the thicker the wall thickness, the greater the pressure resistance of the tube, this design can effectively reduce the weight of the tube, making it more flexible in various applications.

Surface Finish

  • Bright tube: the surface is bright, has no oxidized layer, and can be used for decoration, food industry, and so on.
  • Matte tube: the surface has a certain luster, but is not as bright as the bright tube, and can be used for machining, construction, and so on.
  • Brushed tube: the surface has a brushed texture, and can be used for elevators, kitchen utensils, etc..
  • Mirror tube: the surface is as smooth as a mirror, and can be used for high-grade decoration, chemical industry, etc.

Quality

  • Observation: Observe whether the surface of the tube has defects such as scratches, dents, oxidation spots, etc., whether there is obvious color difference or rust, and whether there is obvious deformation or distortion.
  • Comparison: Compare the same batch of pipes to see whether the outer diameter and wall thickness are consistent, whether they meet the standard requirements, and whether there is any obvious deviation or error.
  • Test: Test the hardness, tensile strength, elongation and other mechanical property indexes of the pipes, whether it meet the standard requirements, and whether there is any obvious abnormality or unqualified.
  • Testing: Test whether the chemical composition of the tube meets the standard requirements, whether there are impurities or adulterants, and whether there are counterfeit or inferior materials. Detect the non-destructive testing results of the tube, whether there are cracks, pores, inclusions and other internal defects.

Applications
