Stainless Steel Wire

Stainless steel wire is drawn coil or wire billet from the die hole of the wire drawing die to produce a small cross-section of steel wire or non-ferrous wire metal plasticity process. During the drawing process, the temperature and drawing strength need to be continuously adjusted to ensure the quality and dimensional accuracy of the wire. After the drawing is completed, the wire needs to be heat-treated to remove internal stresses and improve the organizational structure. Heat treatment usually adopts the combination of solution treatment and aging treatment. Stainless steel wire after heat treatment for a small reduction in the surface of the drawing has a bright surface, soft, non-magnetic, anti-fatigue, high elongation, high hardness, strong elasticity, good toughness, anti-friction, etc, Subsequently, the steel wire is pickled to remove the oxide layer and impurities on the surface, to make its surface clean and smooth. After heat treatment and pickling, the steel wire is subjected to strict inspection, including appearance inspection, size measurement, mechanical property test, etc., to ensure that it meets the product quality standards.

Delivery Conditions

  • Soft: Steel wire for bright heat treatment, heat treatment, and then pickling or similar treatment to remove the surface of the oxide skin.
  • Lightly drawn: Steel wire heat treatment with a small surface reduction rate drawn to finished size.
  • Cold drawn: Steel wire heat treatment after conventional drawing, that is, at room temperature through the mold pulling, roller pulling and other pressure processing methods such as the forming process.

Surface Conditions

  • Grey: Steel wire by dry drawing rawn and other processing, the surface has no luster.
  • Bright: Steel wire by wet drawing, heat treatment and other processing, the surface bright
  • Cleanliness: Steel wire after drawing, heat treatment and other processing, surface cleanliness.
  • Coating: Steel wire surface with coating or plating.

Testing

  • Chemical composition
  • Tensile test
  • Corrosion
  • Dimension
  • Surface quality

Package

Steel wire is delivered in coils, braided spools, spools with or without mandrels, and containers, the coils and spools should be neatly arranged, open the coils of brewing steel yarn to check that it is not scattered, twisted, twisted, or knotted, etc., spools and containers should be packaged to ensure that the release of the wire is smooth, and the end of the obvious marking.

Stainless Steel Wire Material

302 Stainless Steel Wire

302 stainless steel composition includes carbon (C), manganese (Mn), phosphorus (P), sulfur (S), silicon (Si), nickel (Ni), chromium (Cr), of which the carbon content of up to 0.15%, manganese content of up to 2.0%, the maximum content of phosphorus 0.045%, sulfur content of up to 0.03%, silicon content of up to 1.0%, nickel content of a minimum of 8%, the maximum 10%, chromium content of 17% minimum, maximum 19%. minimum of 17% and maximum of 19%.

302 stainless steel has excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance and is suitable for a wide range of applications. Firstly, its good plasticity, toughness and hot and cold working properties make it an ideal material for manufacturing all kinds of structural parts and welded parts. Secondly, 302 stainless steel has good corrosion resistance in oxidizing acids, atmosphere, steam, water, and other media in solid solution state, so it is widely used in environments where corrosion resistance is required, such as chemical equipment, ocean engineering and so on. In addition, 302 stainless steel is non-magnetic and is suitable for the manufacture of non-magnetic parts and low-temperature device parts. However, 302 stainless steel is not recommended to be used for welded parts in intergranular corrosion environments to avoid affecting its service life and performance.

304 Stainless Steel Wire

304 stainless steel wire is mainly composed of iron, chromium, nickel and other elements. Among them, chromium is the main alloying element of stainless steel, which can improve the corrosion resistance of steel. And the addition of nickel element helps to improve the toughness and workability. In addition, 304 stainless steel wire may also contain small amounts of carbon, silicon, manganese and other elements to adjust its properties and processing performance.

304 stainless steel wire has good corrosion resistance, especially in the general oxidizing environment and neutral, weakly alkaline environment with excellent performance. 304 wire has high strength and toughness, able to withstand large tensile force and impact. 304 wire is easy to bend, cut, weld, and other machining operations, and is convenient to make into a variety of shapes and structures of the parts.

316 Stainless Steel Wire

316 is a molybdenum-containing stainless steel. 317 stainless steel has a slightly higher molybdenum content than 316 stainless steel. Due to molybdenum, the overall properties of this grade are superior to those of 310 and 304 stainless steels, and 316 stainless steel has a wide range of uses at high temperatures when the concentration of sulphuric acid is less than 15 percent and more than 85 percent. 316 stainless steel also has good chloride attack properties, so it is often used in marine environments.
