BS EN 10312 welded stainless steel tube is produced for the conveyance of water and other aqueous liquids, primarily for water applications, EN 10312 is a European Standard covering welded stainless steel tubes with tight tolerances, including series 1 and series 2, the welded tubes can be finished in as welded, bright annealed and polished conditions.

EN 10312 welded stainless steel tube shall be manufactured from stainless steel strip, we use automatic TIG welding type forming longitudinally welded, as-welded condition, solution annealed can be offed for option.
Polishing inside and outside for sanitary applications is frequently used in conveying drinking water.

The above table specifies tube outside diameters and related wall thicknesses, tube standard lengths should be 5 m or 6 m, tolerances are also given, roundness is included in the tolerance of outside diameter, and the tolerance on standard lengths is ± 20 mm.
Regarding the weld seam, the external weld seam shall be removed, the internal weld seam cannot be removed, also removed upon agreement.
Inspection And Testing
Tubes shall be smooth and have a bright surface, free from all external and internal surface defects by visual examination.
- Dimensional inspection, the tube diameter, and wall thickness shall be measured.
- Intergranular corrosion test shall be carried out in accordance with EN ISO 3651-1 or EN ISO 3651-2.
- PMI testing should be conducted to ensure grade conforming EN 10088 – 2.
- Tensile test shall be carried out in accordance with EN 10002-1,
- Drift expanding test with EN 10234.
- Flattening test EN 10233.
- Eddy current test shall be carried out for EN 10246-2 for Austenitic steels and ferritic-austenitic steels.
- Hydrostatic test shall be carried out at a minimum gauge pressure of 50 bar.
- Pneumatic test should be conducted at a minimum pressure of 6 bar.
