DIN EN 10357 1.4307 / 304L, 1.4404 / 316L Sanitary Tubing

DIN EN 10357 1.4307 / 304L, 1.4404 / 316L Sanitary Tubing

DONGSHANG produces welded seam sanitary stainless steel tubing that meets DIN EN 10357 standard, available sizes from 12 mm 204 mm, stainless steel EN14404 (AISI 316L), EN14307 (304L) or EN14301 (304), longitudinal seam-welded sanitary tubing is made of cold rolled stainless steel for the food and chemical industry.

We supply un-annealed tube and annealed welded tube with various finishes inside and outside, typical finishes include: polished OD and unpolished ID, polished OD and polished ID and unpolished OD and ID is also available, commonly surface finishing inside (132 μm/ 0,8 μm) Ra or 180 grit, outside (150 grit/ brushed) Roughness for sanitary tube. Our specialists in the surface treatment department ensure the best workmanship, high surface quality and guaranteed hygiene safety in all common nominal diameters from DN 10 to DN 300. For a consistently high surface quality we rely on a fully automatic pipe grinding shop.

To maintain clean standards tubes are packed individually in plastic sleeves and covered with plastic caps in both ends.

DIN EN-10357

The European Standard for Hygienic Tubes.

DIN EN 10357 standard replacing predecessors DIN 11850 is developed for hygienic tube and food tubes, the tubes has to meet certain requirements regarding their materials, surface treatments, dimensions and tolerances which will ensure a consistent level of quality.

These tubes are mainly used in the food & beverage, pharmaceutical and chemical industry and are also often installed in hospitals.

In terms of material composition these steels are not special that usually can be equivalent worldwide with no problem. There are alternate versions of these kind of steels namely 304/304L and 316/316L which have better welding properties and high resistance against rust, 316L (1.4404) has excellent corrosion from chloride solutions.

Generally 1.4401/1.4404 (316/316L) stainless steel is a bit more expensive, but that is not always the case especially in smaller, commonly used diameters the price difference can be negligible.
