ASTM B163 UNS N08825 Incoloy 825 Seamless Alloy Tubes

ASTM B163 UNS N08825 Incoloy 825 Seamless Alloy Tubes

We offer ASTM B163/ASME SB163 UNS N08825 825 nickel alloy seamless tubes for use in the condenser and heat-exchanger service, ASTM B163 UNS N08825 Nickel alloy seamless tubes have excellent corrosion resistance and high temperatures. B163 UNS N08825 Seamless Nickel Tubing is manufactured according to ASTM standard in cold rolled and drawing in seamless process, finished in bright annealed (BA) condition. The nickel alloy tubes are uniform in quality and temper, smooth, commercially straight, and free of injurious imperfections.

The sizes of ASTM B163/ASME SB163 UNS N08825 825 nickel alloy seamless tubes are 3 in. (76.2 mm) and under in outside diameter with minimum wall thicknesses of 0.148 in. (3.76 mm) and under, and with average wall thicknesses of 0.165 in. (4.19 mm) and under. small diameter and light wall tube (converter sizes) are defined. ASTM B163/ASME SB163 U bent tubes are offered in accordance with the requirements of the specification.

ASTM B163 UNS N08825 Chemical Composition

ASTM B163 UNS N08825 is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with 38.0 – 46.0% nickel and 19.5 – 23.5% chromium, and additions of molybdenum, copper and titanium. UNS N08825 has a high nickel content, sufficient to resist chloride ion stress corrosion cracking and a very stable austenite structure. UNS N08825 is ASTM equivalent alloy 825, and EN WNR 2.4858.

Tolerances In Outside Diameter And Wall Thickness

Outside Diameter and Wall Thickness—The permissible variations in the outside diameter and wall thickness of tube shall not exceed those prescribed in the Table below.

Length—When tube is ordered cut-to-length, the length shall not be less than that specified, but a variation of plus 1⁄8 in. (3.2 mm) will be permitted, except that for lengths over 30 ft (9.1 m), a variation of plus 1⁄4 in. (6.4 mm) will be permitted.

Straightness—Material shall be reasonably straight and free of bends or kinks.
