Stainless Steel sanitary tubing is manufactured in accordance with ASTM A269/A270 standards, the surface of the tube’s inner and outer can be polished in 240/320 grit to achieve a bright and smooth finish, the sanitary tubing is produced using TIG automatic welding method, and the bright annealed and polished processes.
Stainless steel tube has good corrosion resistance, smooth condition inside surface, not easy to breed bacteria, small coefficient of thermal expansion, high temperature and high-pressure resistance, long-term safety work durability, and long service life. Sanitary (food grade) stainless steel tubes are widely used in pharmaceutical, food, beer, drinking water, bioengineering, chemical engineering, air purification, aviation, nuclear industry, and other industries.

Quality Inspection and Tests
Chemical composition analysis: To use instrumental analysis and chemical analysis. The specimen for chemical analysis is divided into melting specimen, an ingot drilling chip specimen, pipe specimen. Melting specimens generally use instrumental analysis method, sanitary pipe finished specimens use chemical analysis and analysis methods. Commonly used chemical analysis instruments are infrared carbon and sulfur meters, direct reading spectrometer, X-ray fluorescence spectrometer, and so on.
Size and shape inspection: The inspection mainly includes: wall thickness, outer diameter, length, curvature, ellipticity, port slope and obtuse edge angle of stainless steel sanitary pipe, and the cross-sectional shape of shaped steel pipe.
Surface quality inspection: Artificial visual inspection and non-destructive testing. Non-destructive testing methods are many such as ultrasonic flaw detection, eddy current flaw detection, magnetic particle flaw detection, magnetic leakage detection, electromagnetic ultrasonic flaw detection and penetration flaw detection. Each method has its own advantages and disadvantages:
Mechanical properties test (tensile test, toughness test, hardness test), hydraulic test and corrosion test (intergranular corrosion test, anti-hydrogen cracking test-HIC, anti-sulfide stress cracking test-SSCC) at room temperature or a certain temperature.
Sanitary stainless steel tube process performance tests: Including flattening test, ring pulling test, flaring and crimping test, and bending test.
Metallographic analysis: Including low and high times examination of sanitary stainless steel pipe.
